T he arrest follows a manhunt launched after a 31-year-old man was stabbed to death at T-Zone Pub in the early hours of Saturday, 24 January 2026. According to police, the incident occurred at around 02:30, when the victim sustained multiple stab wounds to the upper body during an altercation at the venue.
The injured man was rushed to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Limpopo SAPS spokespersons said the suspect was tracked down and arrested on Sunday, 25 January 2026, at approximately 12:45, at Mamotintane Village.
The suspect is expected to make his first court appearance at the Mankweng Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 27 January 2026, where he will face a charge of murder.
Police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing, and further details surrounding the circumstances of the stabbing have not yet been released.
The incident adds to growing concerns around violent crime linked to alcohol-related venues in the province, as police continue to urge patrons and business owners to work together to prevent violence.
